Box Butte General Hospital is a Critical Access Hospital with 25-beds for all patient types - acute, observation, swing, intensive care and OB, with a staff of over 260 employees providing a variety of services. BBGH is accredited by The Joint Commission, the nation's predominant standards-setting and accrediting body in health care since 1951 and is a designated basic level trauma center. The active medical staff is comprised of a balance of physicians and non-physician providers (physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists) to serve the primary healthcare needs of Box Butte County and beyond. Additionally, BBGH offers a variety of outpatient specialty services through its Multi-Specialty Clinic.
